Day 1 – Arrival at Florence Airport and check in the Hotel

Following your arrival at Florence airport, you will be met by a chauffeur driven transfer vehicle, which will drive you to your luxury hotel.
Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be warmly welcomed with a glass of prosecco to kick-start your holiday.
After checking in, you are free to explore Florence – one of Europe’s great art cities and cradle of the Renaissance. Or, you can spend the day settling in and enjoy the lavish hotel amenities that are at your disposal.
While in Florence, we highly recommend that you visit one of the most famous museums in the world, the Uffizi Gallery, home to the work of many great Italian artists, such as Michelangelo, Raffaele and Leonardo da Vinci.
For travellers interesting in sight-seeing, the Palazzo Vecchio town hall and the Basilica di Santa Croce are two breathtaking historic monuments that we recommend you visit, both found within a stone’s throw from the centre of Florence.

Day 2 –Gaiole in Chianti

After enjoying the 5-star hotel breakfast, your choice of supercar will be directly delivered to you by one of our MotorValley Experience representatives, who will give you a full briefing and walk through of your itinerary.
As you set off from Florence and head 60 kilometres south, towards the stunning village of Gaiole in Chianti, you will pass a plentiful of winding roads and combed vineyards until you reach the city of Gaiole, located along the river Massellone.
Positioned in the base of the Chianti valley, this medieval market town is surrounded by steep hills, narrow valleys abundant with low-lying oak forests, vineyards and olive groves.
Characterised by its large triangular-shaped square in the centre of town, Gaiole Del Chianti has a long history of gastronomy and wine and now hosts many cultural and wine events in the old market square.
Whilst exploring the sights of Gaiole, you will enjoy a wine and gastronomy tour, where you can try some of the delectable local produce.
After experiencing the luscious gastronomy and wine from the region, you can spend the evening relaxing and unwinding in the beautiful Gaiole Del Chianti Hotel spa and complete your evening by dining in the hotel’s traditional restaurant.

Day 3 - Val D’Orcia and Trasimeno’s Lake

As you wake up in one of the most beautiful backdrops in Italy, you will be served breakfast in the stunning hotel garden, overlooking the endless views of the gorgeous Chianti landscape.
Before we head out to explore the Umbrian countryside, in the morning at your own leisure, you can spend a few hours unwinding at the hotel’s extensive wellness centre, or you can soak up the bright Italian sun by the magnificent hotel pool.
After enjoying some downtime, you will get back into your supercar of choice and continue driving south through the scenic, curving roads of the region towards Montepulciano and Val D’Orcia.
Located to the west of Montepulciano is the magnificent scenery of one of Tuscany’s six world heritage sites, Val D’Orcia. With the valley’s gentle, rolling hills and panoramic views, it is clear to see why the region is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Sitting high on a 605-metre limestone ridge, the medieval and renaissance hilltop town of Montepulciano perfectly embodies the character of the region. Famous worldwide for its production of wine made from the Montepulciano grape, this ancient Italian village is the perfect place for a spot of lunch.
Following a delicious meal in Montepulciano, an area renowned for its food and wine production, the tour will head east towards Trasimeno Lake in Umbria. As a true slice of natural paradise, abundant with wonderful fish, kingfishers and wild ducks, the shores of Trasimeno are full of life.
Rich in tradition and cultural importance, fishing in the Lake Trasimeno has ancient origins, dating back to 800 BC when the ancient Etruscan civilisation first inhabited the area.
Following an exciting day, you will spend your evening in a stunning luxury hotel not far from the shores of Lake Trasimeno.

Day 4 - Perugia and Assisi

After catching up on a well needed rest in the gorgeous setting of your luxury room, you will wake up and enjoy eating an incredible breakfast in the stunning garden of your hotel.
Early in the afternoon, we will drive for about 40 minutes to the Capital of Italy’s green heart, Perugia. Standing 1,640 ft. above sea level, high above the patterned valley below, the hilltop capital of Umbria is both enchanting, medieval and breathtakingly stunning – you will probably feel a strong impulse to come back one day.
Rising from the cobbled alleyways, medieval paths, palaces, and castles, the picturesque city stands tall above the valley below, offering its visitors sweeping peninsula views of the Umbrian landscape. This historic city is partly encased by the Etruscan and Medieval Walls marked by several entrances, such as the famed Cassero di Porta Sant’Angelo.
We recommend you explore and walk through the city’s historic buildings, and discover one of the beautiful cafeterias, where you can enjoy the traditional almond-based biscuits, Stinchetti, which are the perfect accompaniment to an Italian coffee.
If you would like to visit the beautiful Basilica of San Francesco D ’Assisi, please let a member of our MotorValley Experience team know, and we can make a reservation for you.
In the evening after your farewell dinner, you can take a dip in the indoor glass-floored swimming pool that reveals the 3,000-year-old Etruscan ruins below, one of the many luxuries you will enjoy at your stunning hotel in the heart of Perugia.

Day 5 -Assisi and the return to Perugia airport

After a lovely sleep, you can spend your last day exploring the hillside town of Assisi, or stay within the hotel grounds until you are collected from your hotel by your chauffeur driven transfer vehicle, which will drive you to the airport for your outward flight.
